Revolutionary War military certificates not acted upon from the Virginia Land Office, 1781-1869.

These records contain primarily certificates issued through the governor allowing the individuals named to apply to the register for bounty lands. Although many of the men issued these certificates received bounty land, it does not appear that they did so under these particular certificates. A few letters addressed to persons other than the register are also included.
